Authorities in Mobile Police Department have arrested a 35-year-old man following a coordinated operation targeting suspected drug activity across several locations in the city.
According to officials, Kendell Gray of Irvington was taken into custody on Wednesday morning after officers executed search warrants at multiple residences. The operation covered properties in the 1900 block of Dickerson Street, the 600 block of Grant Avenue, and the 7000 block of Grelot Road.
During the searches, investigators reported seizing a significant quantity of illegal substances, including approximately 1,887 grams of crack cocaine and 11,212 grams of marijuana. Law enforcement described the seizure as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and related criminal activity in the area.
Gray was transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail, where he was formally booked. He now faces multiple charges, including trafficking cocaine, trafficking marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officials confirmed that Gray is scheduled to appear in court, where further legal proceedings will determine the next steps in the case.
Police emphasized that operations like this are aimed at improving community safety and reducing the availability of illegal drugs. Investigations remain ongoing, and authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional arrests connected to the case.
