A tense roadside encounter in Sacramento County ended in tragedy Friday after a sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a man who reportedly pulled a shotgun during an investigation involving a woman who said she felt unsafe.
Distress Call Sparks Rapid Response
Authorities say the situation began when a passerby reported seeing what appeared to be a woman in distress near New Hope and Orr roads, west of the Galt area.
