Green Bay, Wisconsin — A violent early morning incident on Green Bay’s east side left two young adults injured after an attack involving an edged weapon, according to the Green Bay Police Department.

Authorities said the incident occurred around 5:15 a.m. Monday at a residence in the 900 block of Edgewood Drive. Officers responded to a weapons call reporting injuries and quickly began administering first aid at the scene.

When police arrived, they found a 23-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both residents of Green Bay, suffering from cut-related injuries. Emergency responders stabilized the victims before they were transported to a nearby hospital. Officials have not released updates on their current conditions.

Investigators later confirmed that the victims were familiar with the suspect, indicating the incident was not random. A Green Bay man was taken into custody a few hours later, around 8:30 a.m., following a traffic stop. He was subsequently brought in for questioning and later booked into the Brown County Jail.
