Manchester, NH Weather Alert: Rain Returns Tuesday Night with Slick Roads and Travel Delays Expected

Manchester, New Hampshire — A chilly and damp afternoon is setting the tone across the city today, with gray skies and light rain creating slick road conditions and reduced visibility for drivers. While temperatures feel raw now, a noticeable warmup is already in progress and will bring a quick shift in conditions later today.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to rise to around 70°F this afternoon, with only a slight chance of lingering showers. By Tuesday, conditions improve significantly, with mostly sunny skies and a warmer high near 78°F.

However, the break will be short-lived. Rain chances increase to 50% Tuesday night and continue into Wednesday, bringing scattered showers that could impact both morning and evening commutes.

Drivers across Manchester, along with nearby Nashua and Concord, should stay cautious on major routes like I-93 and Route 101. Wet pavement and gusty winds up to 30 mph may make driving tricky, especially during peak travel hours. Keeping headlights on and allowing extra travel time is advised.

Looking ahead, unsettled weather lingers into Thursday with another chance of showers. Conditions begin to improve by Friday, with drier skies and temperatures returning to the low-to-mid 70s.

Residents should stay prepared for quick weather changes and plan travel accordingly over the next few days.
